found nyx in montreal

I've been looking for this stuff like crazy since I've seen in plastered all over youtube. So many beauty guru's are showing off NYX products and making comparisons to Mac got me itching NYX! My only problem was that I couldn't find it anywhere. Sure, cherryculture.com has it all (including probably the worst swatches in the history of the internet) but I didn't feel like ordering online, paying shipping and all that jazz.

If you live in Montreal and are looking for these babies go to the Brunet close to the Attwater Market. I'm never usually there, but I decided to scroll through their make up aisle and there it was out of nowhere. The section is relatively small. The first things that caught my eye were their jumbo pencils, eye shadow trios and brushes. Sadly, I did not find NYX professional brushes, only the black handled ones.

I had to contain myself because I might be heading to New York and I'll sure as hell find everything cheaper there.

Jumbo Pencils retail for $4.85 CAD - cherry culture sells them for $3.00 to $4.00 USD
Trios $9.95 CAD - cherry culture " $5.50 to $8.00 USD

The last time I checked the exchange rate... honestly, way to rape us. Not to mention our tax is psycho *at a loss for words*...

NYX Trio in Rock and Roll
NYX Jumbo Pencils in Black Bean, Milk & Yogurt

Anyway, here are pictures/swatches/comparisons..:

We are looking at some striking similarities between this quad and 2 MAC pans. The biggest difference is pigmentation! The colors are a tad off, but not by much. Ricepaper is more golden than the lightest color in this trio, so is Satin Taupe. The color which resembles Satin Taupe is comparable in terms of pigmentation, however it comes off a tad more gray.

I'm looking for a charcoal color from Mac which is most similar to the darkest in this trio. Any suggestions? And does anyone know where else in Montreal to find NYX?

I saw yesterday some eye shadows, jumbo pencils and some stuff with glitter in Uniprix at LES GALERIES DU PARC
"La Cité" (3575 Parc Avenue) downstairs. The NYX counter is close to the make-up cashier...good luck !

thanks for the info! i was looking for them as well! On the NYX website it says Jean Coutu has them, I've called most Jean Coutus to ask and none of them has them. But the Jean Coutu in Lasalle on Dollard street apparently sells a very limited quantity, but I have yet to go check it out for my self.
